Machzor Piloting

You and your congregation are invited to help be part of the ongoing study process that will lead to the new CCAR Machzor.

We’re thrilled to report that over 160 congregations, as well as several Hillel groups, piloted one or more services from the new MachzorMishkan HaNefesh. Some congregations used it as material for S’lichot, some used it during Yom Kippur study sessions, and some used it in actual services on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur. We are in the process of compiling and studying all the feedback. We are very grateful to all those who are sharing their thoughts with us.

The next piloting opportunities will be this coming spring and during the upcoming High Holy Days. The N'ilah service is now available, and the Avodah service will be available after Passover. Many congregations have found winter and spring piloting to be a good study opportunity.

Significant pre-publication discounts are being offered on Mishkan HaNefesh. For order and discount information, see the order form.

For more information about piloting, please write to us at machzor@ccarnet.org.

Presenting Mishkan HaNefesh to your congregation

Many congregations had already started presenting Mishkan HaNefesh to their congregants in different ways: pilot programs, study groups, board meetings, flyers, and posting information on their website.

You can find an example of presenting the new Machzor on the website of Congregation Beth Emek in Pleasanton, CA.

If you are also presenting the new Machzor on your website, please let us know! Contact us at machzor@ccarnet.org.
