Joint Commission on Rabbinic Mentoring

HUC-JIR and the CCAR joined together in 2002 to establish the Joint Commission of the Rabbinic Mentoring Institute. The Joint Commission has developed a mandatory program in which the mentor/mentee relationship begins in the Spring of a student’s fourth year and continues through the fifth year, and into the new colleague’s first two years of post-ordination rabbinic service.
