Resolution Adopted by the CCAR

Reform Judaism

Adopted by the CCAR at the 87th Annual Convention of
the Central Conference of American Rabbis
1976

WHEREAS the Central Conference of American Rabbis functions in close cooperation with the other institutions of the Reform Jewish movement, and

WHEREAS on every level of our endeavors, world, national, regional and local, we benefit from the cooperation and service of our sister institutions,

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the CCAR recognizes the services and achievements of the other institutions of Reform Judaism. In service to congregations on an individual basis, the members of this Conference are supported by their co-workers in the National Association of Temple Educators, the National Association of Temple Administrators and the American Conference of Cantors. The congregations which are served by members of the CCAR derive great benefits from the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and its affiliated bodies. We look as a Conference toward the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion where the great mass of our membership was ordained and which continues to provide the Conference and its members with scholarship and enlightenment. We pledge our continuing support to the World Union for Progressive Judaism and to our colleagues throughout the world who bring the message of Progressive Judaism to the lands in which they live.
