Rabbinic Support in NFTY Regions

Adopted by the CCAR at the 98th Annual Convention of
the Central Conference of American Rabbis
1987

WHEREAS the National Federation of Temple Youth is an organization of Jewish teenagers, and

WHEREAS NFTY is dedicated to educating its constituents concerning Jewish laws, traditions and customs, and

WHEREAS such education cannot be fully achieved without rabbinic support, and

WHEREAS rabbinic support has been lacking in some areas recently,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Central Conference of American Rabbis recommends that HUC-JIR require some form of youth training .

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the CCAR urges its members to support the youth of their congregations and that the NFTY be participating in regional NFTY conclaves and programs.
