1. We repudiate the policy of false prosperity through armaments and endorse a
policy
of sound prosperity based on a program of housing, public works, conservation
of
national resources, expanded education and improved health services. (1938, p.

2. We hope that the abolition of slums through federal housing aids will be continued. We urge that WPA, NYA and CCC, shall not be abandoned before their need is proven unnecessary. (1942, p. 97)
